Power of Music
This feeling is heavenly
Music plays such a critical part in ones life...
Of late I have become one of those music buffs now who just can not go out without earplugs on...
In fact now the body discman is so tuned to it (like one has the bodyclock) that even do not need actual device to put on. The music just seems to flow at the back of your mind even though disc has stopped long ago. Extend your passionate ears and now even can feel those music symbols flying around you (a sign to know this feeling is when automatically and unknowingly your hand blows slowly in the air along with the tunes of what u r listening)

Woke up today to the tunes of Bollywood songs roaring out of Radio Mirchi.
then it was time to dig head in old video songs archive of Bryan Adams (still feel that shiver running down the spine when watch his recorded live shows man ! ), Venga boys, Indi pop, Shakira etc.

then suddenly gears down to jagjit singh while in the office, post lunch mood shifts to Enrique again and now back to golden oldie Marathi Asha bhosale (NakshatraanChe Dene, Aawaj Chandananchye) .... N sometimes music needs no language when it comes to spanish, urdu, south...

In loving memory of my Papa who passed away into the next room on 14th of this month 2003.
...Sometimes I wish I had not this sense of seeing things in advance :: My first ever blog

Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room.
I am I. You are You. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the same easy way which you always used to, put no difference in your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow, laugh as we always laughed at little jokes we enjoyed together.
Pray, smile, think of me, let my name be ever the household word that it always was, let it be spoken without effect, without trace of shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight, I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near just around the corner.

N I started believing things like Life and Death and Life after Death, just that it was someone else's, someone so near to me...

...And suddenly Life stands still
that even death seems so natural, so easy.
But by its very nature, to move ahead, it will,
...And there's Death standing alone at the corner,
just turn around and see,
ashamed of its guilt - to kill
N so looks more dark, the more ugly.
...makes one thing pretty sure "Life is so beautiful..."

Equally true though is "Nindakche ghar shejari Asaave..."
And I shall thank you all for that for :
In most of mankind, gratitude is simply a secret hope for greater favours.
- Anon.
I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge.
That myth is more potent than history.
That dreams are more potent than facts.
That hope always triumphs over experience.
That laughter is the only cure of grief.
And I believe that love is stronger than death.

Nothing is easier than fault finding. No talent, no self-denial,
no brains are required to set up in the grumbling business.

Once was the time when you had to dig through tonnes of books or heaps to catalogues to find some book / song / poem of your choice. Now the situation is still the same. Though the wealth of information is there amassed_on_wire in form of zero and uno, the problem still presists in the form of judicious sense of using it. Lack of Knowledge / information is no more a problem , dearth of intelligence is...
Listening to the tunes of Jagjit on this cool weekend evening I wonder how alien we are to our own roots in general and language to be particular, when words like Qayanat, Shafaue, Dhanuk, Mehtaab, and bandagi falls to my ears. This probably may push me to give up French and German for exploring what is more nearer and prior to them. So "kaun kehta hain Mohabbat ko Jubaa hoti hain, ye haqeeqat to Nigaho se..." now seems to be taking priority over"Almas del silencio" :: Jaleo (Ricky Martin)...
Lets share not seek...
What is love? (sometimes asking such questions makes one feel like puting hand in a bag full of scorpions... even as you know that you gonna be bitten)

O.K.

Because it must be experienced in order to be meaningful, I can not define it for you except to say that it is the total absence of fear and the recognition of complete union with all life.
True love is a completely pure and unencumbered form of giving without expecting something in return.
So atleast in affairs like these that are close to ones heart (say love, crush, infatuation etc.) or those to ones mind (spiritual, humanity, or principles or so called beliefs etc... ) there is nothing like "Give and Get", and if thats the feeling across, I must say one is dearly wronged. One can not expect to get back in return, just for the reason that if one does attach giving with desire of getting, you are not really giving but trying to seek; and the so called giving is just a token of an attempt to ask for something. But this has to be pretty well understood and understood shall be the basic distinction between 'Seeking' and 'Sharing'. Just as it shall be known to the seeker about importance of being humble (because being the seeker, after all), It shall also be known to the so called giver that there is never enough one can have to afford to give. In the whole gamut of this "give and take relationships", one shall not forget that if such equations finally ends up with a cipher on one side, on the other side it ends up with a nought too. And the void is that remains on both sides at the end (One has to be real honest to accept such harsh facts, because the more one denies, the more it becomes difficult to make it accept to ones' inner one). So better way out is to be on the incremental side of the Equation of Relationships, because there will be some decremental sides to bring it back to nought at the end (believe it or not, this is the penultimate fact of life. 'life' is such a pauper word to explain this I guess, because life itselfs gets nullified by 'death' then). And one can be on the incremental or plus side just by earning as much positives as can be, all one can do then, is just share or distribute as much as one has and one can. It is just for this reason one shall welcome and encourage the sharing, lest forget seeking or giving, thats not in ones reach.
If thats pretty heavy, lets bemire deeper into this later.

Dark Side Of Your Sign

A friend forwarded me this mail...
Usually though I kind of either promptly forward such offals as gesture of least_I_can_torture_someone_else_in_return or delete them even without reading, this one found my attention for obvious curiousity that one can have about knowing the dark side of our destiny. I guess everyone will accept these observations about one's sign if in honest frame of mind to want to (in my case while reading such a thing about me I chose a different sign each time and see this suits me today, just because I don't believe this, though I guess I have to) But here in I noticed the striking acceptance about these observations based on both of my signs (Times and Express conflict on my signs, my b'date being at the boundary of two constellations :-)) )
See what do u think about ur one...
Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 20)

A warrior at heart, you thrive on challenges and any strife and dramas, you are tempted to stir things up, just to keep yourself happy. You are also rather intolerant of mistakes and don't have patience for weakness or failings in others. And sometimes, you can be quite a snob as well you like to be seen at the right places or wear the right clothes. And you're also prone to bossiness. Your restless nature may make you quit a project suddenly if you can't sustain the interest.

Advice:
Get off your high horse and pay your dues before people will accept you. Learn to be more tolerant of others and try to see the other person's side of the story. If you believe in what you do, you can move mountains.

Taurus (Apr 21 - May 20)
You are stubborn and like to hold onto things, not wanting to let go of anything or anyone. You are slow to anger, but when you do get worked up to a rage - everyone step aside! You also have a selfish streak and can be quite sneaky as well. And although people may see you as helpful and agreeable, you sometimes have an inner struggle wanting the approval of others while sticking to your own opinions. You also tend to be suspicious of others and question their motives.

Advice:
Stop being mean and try to be nice. Learn to forgive and let go of your past disappointments. Learn from your mistakes and have faith in yourself and others as well.

Gemini (May 21 - Jun 21)
Your devil-may-care attitude sometimes could bring harm to yourself - you tend to live on the edge sometimes. Many of you believe that you don't deserve success, somehow feeling guilty for it. You may give others too much of yourself sometimes that you lose yourself. You may be prone to suppressing motions as well. And at times that makes it difficult for you to accept affection and love.

Advice:
Work at listening to others and don't be tempted to try daring devil stunts all the time. And try doing something for yourself and once in a while, in between, doing favors for others. You're human, after all.

Cancer (Jun 22 - Jul 22)
You can get carried away with emotions - your anger is overwhelming and your sadness can depress all those around you. You're also ultra-sensitive to other people's emotions and are affected by these as well. You tend to react before you think and then brood about what you may have done or said wrong. You are also prone to periods of morbidity, thinking dark thoughts. Feelings of insecurity creep in now and then, making you snappish or else you try to win the approval of everyone at your expense.

Advice:
Accept that you are hypersensitive to emotions and work with yours. Go with the flow and by doing the right thing, you set an example for others. Work with others and this will help build your confidence and open you up.

Leo (Jul 23 - Aug 22)
On the rare occasion you lose your temper, you can turn into a savage beast. You seem to need an audience as well, to help boost your confidence and ego, sometimes. Other times, you get caught up in the outward dramas of your life that you neglect what you're feeling inside. This results in a delayed reaction when emotions sneak up on you and you get hit with a whammy. You also tend to be proud and aggressive, cloaking these with your charm. When things don't go your way, you get impatient and may even throw a tantrum.

Advice:
Learn to spend some time alone with yourself and get to know yourself better. And learn to experience your emotions at the moment; don't store them up for another time. And know that not all means justify the ends.

Virgo (Aug 23 - Sep 22)
You have a martyr complex, feeling that you were put on this earth to do good work and not receive any credit for it. You tend to be ultra critical of yourself and others and you also worry about things that are beyond your control. A little pessimistic sometimes, you tend to be an intellectual snob. You bottle up all your insecurities and fears, and hesitate to reach out for help. And once in a while, you become a busybody that's when you also feel responsible for other people's problems.

Advice:
Modesty has its own limits - take credit for your efforts. Give yourself a break and know that you do not have to be successful in everything you do.Keep focused and don't get tangled in other people's affairs too often.

Libra (Sep 23 - Oct 23)
Your inability to reach a decision in matters of personal action is
legendary. You like to weigh all the alternatives and hear every side of an argument - but this may take time and opportunities may pass you by because of it. You also like to expand energy on people who may not deserve it - You want to help the underdog. You are also sensitive to criticism and may take mild statements of fact very personally.

Advice:
Follow your instincts and act on them - stop sitting on fences. Don't blindly trust people; learn to be a little more discriminating in your offers of help. Learn to think for yourself and don't be swayed by persuasive tongues.

Scorpio (Oct 24 - Nov 21)
You have a revengeful streak and a long memory for past hurts. Sometimes you're downright spiteful. When you suffer, you make sure others suffer along with you. Sometimes, you may even use deception to get what you want And to influence others to stay out of your way. You may even believe these untruths and unrealistic fears will grow on you. Once in a while, you may come across someone that just rubs you on the wrong side for no apparent reason and you make it your mission to bury him or her.

Advice:
Flight the negative emotions that arise in you, and resentment will not sour your life. Don't give into temptation to tell lies, learn to conquer your strong tendency towards revenge and things will fall into place for you.

Sagittarius (Nov 22 - Dec 21)
You've got a big mouth and unwittingly hurt an insult people with it. You can even go to utter strangers and give unsolicited advice and comments. You also seem to enjoy verbal duels with others whenever you can. And you sure can make sore losers, even suspecting foul play if things don't go your way. You have a knack for confrontation and you can't resist being sarcastic. You also don't think too much of many people, because you have mild superiority complex. Vanity is also a trait in many of you.

Advice:
Learn with whom you can be frank otherwise keep your comments to yourself. Discretion is the better part of valor. Curb your cockiness, and you can combine it with your concern for serious issues, aiding in your search for truth.

Capricorn (Dec 22 - Jan 19)
You are rather materialistic and it is fueled by your fears of financial disaster. This makes you complain about monetary woes, irritating many with your obnoxious attitude. You can also be a social climber, manipulating your way up the ladder; name-dropping all the way to the top. Once in a while, you'll have morbid thoughts about Death something that scares you because you have no control over it. You tend to be obsessive about your mortality sometimes.

Advice:
Stop worrying about losing money, and you'd rid yourself of unfounded nightmares. Stop manipulating others and you'll be free to concentrate on attaining your goals. Get rid of your phobias and you'll be able to relax more and enjoy yourself.

Aquarius (Jan 20 - Feb 18)
You tend to be too idealistic and naive sometimes. Practicality gets thrown out of the window by you many times. Cool and aloof, you rarely want to deal with deep emotions. You like to give advice but don't like to receive it. And ideas and inspirations that you sometimes neglect or follow through with them are constantly bombarding you. Or else you are constantly shifting focus, giving people the idea with no staying power.

Advice:
Take time to explore your private feelings. Not all people see things your way. And just because you come up with ideas, don't expect other people to do all the work for you. Learn to trust people and accept advice.

Pisces (Feb 19 - Mar 20)
You are an escapist - you have this knack of avoiding issues if they seem unpleasant. You delve into past memories to escape your present woes. There is also a tendency towards alcoholism and even drug abuse - you are on a search for some kind of 'high'. You also love to flirt and too much of it may send the wrong, dangerous signals out to other people. Once in a while, a dark mood will descend on you and you become rather unsociable and withdrawn.

Advice:
Trust your instincts, but also be in control of your perceptions. Whenever the escapist tendency hits you, join a seminar or get a pep talk from a friend to get your perspective right.

What's in name ? Sometimes conversations can go really wild, weird and wayward that even words can not contain the meanings, emotions and intentions of the speaker. But then the participants are so engrossed that they know whats going on.
Its fun actually !And I have been witnessing such a few incidences these days...
Take this...
1. Topic : Cinema (lunch table)
Between a very usually cool talks on Movies I somehow sparked a debate over "If every movie has a color", and eventually everyone like agreeing this weird thought started to pour in more inputs...
Me said : "Look Devdas was so Red ?,And DCH" (everybody in unison), "That was kinda blue, right?" (might be because of so many beaches). "Oh very true" :-))Then some one went on to term Kaante as yelowish orange... N so it went to cover the remaining shades of rainbow...

2. Topic : (How names were derived and how to keep them "cool")
I proposed lets take first few letters from first one and first few from surname and thoda alter them to sound cool...
So it begun again...

E.g. Aishwarya Rai -> Ash Ray...

Me -> Sun Shine...
him -> Pankha (Pan Kha..)
him -> Vish Pat (and not Vish-Amrut nor Chit-Pat)
him -> Promo
him -> Kauwa (Kau. Va.)
him -> Soothy (Su. Di.)...
her -> Deep Ups (and not push ups)
him -> Rajan...

What tense you are in reflects what state you are in...

The Vietnamese Buddhist monk and philosopher, Thich Nhat Hanh,
writes about enjoying a good cup of tea. You must be
completely awake in the present to enjoy the tea. Only in
the awareness of the present can your hands feel the
pleasant warmth of the cup. Only in the present can you
savor the aroma, taste the sweetness, appreciate the
delicacy. If you are ruminating about the past or
worrying about the future, you will completely miss the
experience of enjoying the cup of tea. You will look down
at the cup, and the tea will be gone.

Life is like that. If you are not fully present, you will
look around and it will be gone. You will have missed the
feel, the aroma, the delicacy and beauty of life. It will
seem to be speeding past you.

The past is finished. Learn from it and let it go. The
future is not even here yet. Plan for it, but do not waste
your time worrying about it. Worrying is worthless. When
you stop ruminating about what has already happened, when
you stop worrying about what might never happen, then you
will be in the present moment. Then you will begin to
experience joy in life.

And that's the reason why I love using this tense.
I wish I could be a teacher teaching people "grammar", but then there is some called "Bha Po"
:-)
I Think You Think Too Much

Don't know I'm watching you and every move you make
I know what you do and everything you say
I hear loud and clear and there wont be no escape
For those of you who won't cooperate
So don't stand in our way, obey
Or you'll be taken away
and you will soon be forgotten
mind and body rottin'
and you'll pay for what you do and say
I think you think too much- you think too much
We're watching you
And everything you do and say will come back some day
Just look at what mess you made
Choose carefully the words you wish to speak...

I Touch Roses
If you think I'm magical
cause roses bloom with my touch
thats mathematical
I think you think too much
I touch roses
If you try to talk with me
if you try to copy my
pocket full of poses
you still can't touch my roses
I touch roses
I touch roses
I touch roses
I touch roses
If you think I'm magical
cause roses bloom with my touch
but magics just not practical
I think you think too much
I touch roses
