What else could be more perfect start to the day than watching Pretty woman (yet one more time)...

Its all up to you...

One way or another, you will get something accomplished today. Exactly what you get accomplished is up to you.

The hours of this day will go by, no matter what you do. What you get from them is up to you.

The world is filled with challenges, frustrations, joys and opportunities. What you make of them is up to you. Some of the people around you will praise you and encourage you, others will curse you and oppose you, still others will ignore you. Yet the way you respond is completely up to you.

You can hide away from life or you can dive into its glorious richness. Some people will help you, others will hurt you, yet no one can live your own unique life for you. The way you experience this priceless gift of life is now and always up to you.

Agent Smith: You can't win; it's pointless to keep fighting! Why, Mr. Anderson, why, why do you persist?

Neo: Because I choose to.

-Matrix-III

Anyone can have persistence. It requires no special skill. There's nothing to it really. Persistence is as simple as putting one foot in front of another.

Yes, you'll probably stumble every once in a while. And yes, you could let that stop you.

Or you could simply get back up, learn from your mistakes, and keep on going, with even more determination than before. Persistence is a choice you are always free to make.

Your mind will sometimes fill with doubts, excuses, and reasons to quit. Persistence is a matter of letting them go, as you move on ahead and leave them behind.

Where do you want to go? Persistence will take you there.

"i-don't-care" is the most dishonest sentence i say to myself. Do i say it because i want to believe i don't care, or merely to give that appearance? And why is the appearance of not caring any better than vanity?
What matters is not the caring but the way that i care. Spending all morning in front of the bathroom mirror is not really caring; it is in fact unwillingness to let think that you do care.
While i am worrying about what you think of me i am not open to you, i am not letting you in; in fact, i am not letting you exist as a person-- i am making you my mirror. While i am concerned with what you are thinking about me i am not even thinking about you.
i choose to use my own mind. i do not need your mind. i want to experience you, listen to you-- not myself. i have already heard everything i have to say. You are what is novel about this conversation.
Perceptions are not things but of relationships. nothing, including me, exists by itself--this is an illusion of words. i am a relationship, ever-expanding.
There is certain beauty in poverty, loss, and desolation. there is a certain strength and grandeur in suffering. Grays, storms, ruins, age are powerful subjects for a painting. Even a dump heap can evoke admiration.

When i look at the world gently, when i look at others the way i have sometimes sensed that something look at me, i become a friend. And there is no higher calling.

It is not that there are no accidents, evil, deformity, pettiness, hatred. It's that there is a broader view. Evil exists in the part. Perfection does in whole. Sin is seeing nearsightedly. And i can choose this broader view--not that i always will--but i always can.

A passing thought...

If the little things are getting you down, then spend some time and thought looking up. The more you connect yourself to the big picture, the less you'll be dragged down by all the little frustrations.

If you have no idea of where you're headed, then the smallest setbacks can get blown completely out of proportion. That's because they're the only things you have to focus on.

When you can frame events in a bigger perspective, the little annoyances and frustrations become just that -- little. See clearly where the road is leading, and you won't be bothered by the rocks and pebbles over which you must travel. In fact, you'll even begin to value and appreciate them. For they will serve to confirm that you're truly making progress.

The higher you aim your focus and your efforts, the more resilient you will be. The more positive and meaningful you make the big picture, the more successfully you'll be at dealing with the challenges.

See life from the highest perspective your thoughts can attain. And you'll steadily, gracefully work your way there.

How silly...

Someday you'll see how silly it is to think you can profit from the misfortune of others. Someday you'll see how silly it is to expect to get something for nothing.

Someday you'll see how silly it is to spend so much time all puffed up with pride and arrogance. One day you'll realize how silly it is to think that you're superior to anyone else.

You'll also understand one day how silly it is to think that any task is beneath you. And there will come a time when you'll see how silly it is to get all worked up and angry over the smallest, most insignificant things.

Someday you'll see how silly it is to consume yourself with worry about what others think of you. And someday you'll see how silly it is to ignore those things that matter most, just for the sake of a quick, fleeting pleasure.

Someday you'll regret all the silliness. And then you'll move beyond it to a place where you can truly live with meaning and purpose and integrity, and with real joy. Wouldn't it be great to be there now? How silly it is to wait any longer.
SRK's "jara hatake" movie. This time it does not seem to be any small social-dometsic issue based. And as always you will get total_return_investment this time also...
And bet, u can count on me for this.

A Passing Thought...

For everything you do, there is a reason why. It may be silly, it may be profound, but in every case there is some reason or other. There are those things you gladly do, those things you reluctantly do, and those things you put off until the last possible moment. For each one of those things, there is a reason why.

If you were to think about each why before you acted on it, consider what would happen. Many of those things that only end up causing regret and dismay, you'd never do at all. And those things that bring value and accomplishment, you'd find yourself doing more and more. Because instead of blindly following any old why, you'd pick the ones that matter most.

Life is filled with whys, yet following them all is not very wise. Decide to follow the ones that mean the most to who you are and the person you would like to become.

Think of the why behind what you do, before you ever do it. Pick the whys that matter most, and you'll get where you truly want to go.

Honesty is always the most reliable, the most direct
route to truly attain whatever you seek.

Someone said it well...

So.. You think time is precious huh? Yeah you're right... and you've currently just wasted about 8 seconds of your "precious" time reading this stupid statement :-)
Times Change but Looks Don't...

Gives one more good reason to feel at home even in the office...

...And a matter of fact query ?

Mind Control
============

See if you have good mind control over your body.
This is left brain, right brain stuff.

This actually is true even though it may seem stupid
and it's going to really frustrate you, but it’s fun!

While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor
and make clockwise circles.

Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your
right hand.

Your foot will change direction and there's nothing you can do
about it.

Try it.

See what I mean?

Although this is a physiological phenomena, it has spiritual
implications. The direction in which one part of you goes has a
strong tendency to take the rest of you in the same direction.

You can move your hand and foot in the SAME direction but the 6
causes your hand and foot to move in opposite directions.

You can't walk two paths at the same time.
You can't serve two masters at the same time.
You can only go in one direction or the other.

A Friend Who Opens My Heart

by Sunshine

Whenever I think about the people
who make a real difference in my life,
I think of the friend I can talk to,
really open my heart to,
because he understands me...
And I think of the friend I have fun with,
just doing whatever, whenever,
because it feels so good being together...
I think of the friend I can count on,
the one that I turn to so often,
because I know he'll never let me down...
And I think of the friend who inspires me,
who always can keep me believing in me
because he does...
And whenever I think of these wonderful friends
and all that they've given to me,
I think of how lucky I've been
to have found all of them in you.

Just wishing one all the best and shed this mask of pretense...

A mask of plastic happiness often covers her sadness
Her beliefs hidden from most
Afraid of, but willing to face the unknown
Wondering where her place is in this life
She has come close to sharing herself
Never completely revealing anything to anyone
Feelings of invisible chains corner her
When she dreams, reality shatters before her very eyes
Accomplishments she strives for just at hands grasp
She feels lost sometimes, not yet finding her notch in this world
At times the glimmer in her calm eyes slowly disappears
But within her heart a silent flame burns her inside and out
She roams day by day, playing roles
Strength unknowingly resides in her
History repeats itself once again
The translucent veil she so proudly wears
Little by little answers will come, pushing it aside
One day there will be no more mask for her to wear
One day her beliefs will be known
One day she'll know her place in this life
One day she will share herself
ONE DAY this mask will be NO MORE

Personalities...

Guess who?

A small boy - the fifth amongst seven siblings of a poor father, was selling newspapers in a small village to earn his living. He was not exceptionally smart at school but was fascinated by religion and rockets.

The first rocket he built crashed. A missile that he built crashed multiple times and he was made a butt of ridicule. He is the person to have scripted the Space Odyssey of India single-handedly - Dr. APJAK

Life is a Game

At every stage of life
you play a different role.
Sometimes you are the Pawn,
sometimes the Rook:
sometimes the Knight,
or Bishop,or King.
You have power over one,
but another can overpower you.
Circumstances determine
your positions and moves.
You may lose,or you may win.
But the winner does not
inherit the Chessboard.
And the board must be cleared
for the next game.
True it's not whether you win or lose.
It's how you play the game.

THE ITINERARY OF LIFE.

Life is a journey.
Its path is destiny.
And following is its itinerary.

The first halt is childhood.
Gentle as a breeze
and delicate like a flower.
As beautiful as a rain shower.

The next being the youth.
Full of courage and exuberance.
Blissful and lively.
Just like a feel that's heavenly.

After that is the oldage.
Calm like the waves of a sea.
With no worries there to be.

The final is the death.
A time to remember
the above three and
forever to be free
