"DOES PRAYER CHANGE THINGS?"
They say that prayer changes things, but does it REALLY change anything?
Oh yes! It really does!
Does prayer change your present situation or sudden circumstances?
No, not always, but it does change the way you look at those events.
Does prayer change your financial future?
No, not always, but it does change who you look to for meeting your daily
needs.
Does prayer change shattered hearts or broken bodies?
No, not always, but it will change your source of strength and comfort.
Does prayer change your wants and desires?
No, not always, but it will change your wants into what God desires!
Does prayer change how you view the world?
No, not always, but it will change whose eyes you see the world through.
Does prayer change your regrets from the past?
No, not always, but it will change your hopes for the future!
Does prayer change the people around you?
No, not always, but it will change you the problem isn't always in others.
Does prayer change your life in ways you can't explain?
Oh, yes, always! And it will change you from the inside out!

UP-SET MAX (This one was from JR's)

The recent ICC Champions Trophy was a trailer in more ways than one, cricketing-wise and otherwise. In my opinion, it didn't help one bit in identifying potential World Cup winners, as the conditions were exactly the opposite to those in Afrika.
But that ain't the subject of this post. The telecast of the Trophy gave us an idea as to potentially how bad the World Cup cricket presentation is going to be on the Sony Channels, the people who've bought the rights to the show. Quite clearly, their idea of a presentation is derivative from their primary business: that of soaps & films. Whoever had the incredible brainwave of hiring Ruby Bhatia (a Canadian Indian, Canada being a country that supposedly played the first big cricket match in the 19th century versus the US, and has ever since followed its Southern neighbour in thankfully keeping its paws out of the good game) has presented a good argument in favour of retaining the death penalty. Add to this such attractions such as Fardeen Khan, Ma Prem Rithambara (Tarot Card reader who would make all sorts of predictions - wonder if she swept the Predikta contest that was running alongside on Max?). And when you consider that the "experts" consisted of Srikkanth, Farokh Engineer, Mahanama & Kapil (all decent cricketers, but not so hot at the mike & the headphones), your stomach did the rescuing act each time Extraaaa (painful) Innings came on. Only Barry Richards held on to his honour. Srikkanth got into Arjuna Ranatunga's hair a lot (and I'm sure Arjuna Ranatunga would've swatted Krish Srikkanth if Srikkanth had just been an annoying member of Sri Lankan Parliament.) Tony Greig probably watches a lot of Zee News, nothing else would explain his "we were the first to tell you this tiny piece of rubbish" quotes. Charu Sharma should be banished to covering Kabaddi for all his "aiding-and-abetting" acts.
So what's the film going to be like in six months time? One can only shudder in answer. Rumours abound that News Corp will try and squeeze Sony in the rights game. Sony has a great chance to see their golden goose lay an egg : a stone one. Any solutions? Monopolies for Espn-Star perhaps? The last World Cup telecast was quite brilliant. And there was no Sidhu too then (But I'll take him as the pinch of salt, rather than watch Ms. Bhatia look at head-to-head comparisons and ask what they were. Lay off!)

Finally, I am where I always wanted to be,to share what I have. These are my thoughts, and I find them beautiful when I attached these with you.
Someone asked me the other day, what I would like to give this world when "Good Bye" I have to say?
I said, Nothing !!! that is what I have. Everything that I have had was theirs, I was just sharing it with them...

Music that's catching (This was one from JR's)
Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have a Hindi film music release in Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai (rumoured to be a d├ęsi American Pie). The music seems reminiscent of their biggest hit, Dil Chahta Hai, and so were the visuals of the aspiring actors & actresses who seem to have done their share of acting classes and modelling assignments, in short nothing strikingly new. I liked one song bit though, Yeh Sama has Shantanu Mukherjee (a.k.a Shaan) crooning. Sadly, I couldn't identify the female voice. The other songs that I caught didn't strike a chord for me, not yet.
A poem about freindship...

|| The Key To Friendship ||
Is Not In The Hand You Hold,
But How You Hold The Hand.
It's Not In The Tears You Dry,
But All The Reasons Why.
It's Not How You Make A Person Smile
But Whether Or Not It's WorthWhile.
It's Not In The Conversation,
But In The Way You Listen.
It's Not In The Laughter,
But What Comes Before And Everything After.
The Key To Friendship..
Is Not In Two People Relating,
But In Two Hearts Communicating.
Thank You For Being That Very Special Friend,
Who Understands The Key To Friendship,
And How To Unlock Everything Within.

DADDY
When I was ten years old I asked my papa why do you come home so late and
mumma has to do all the work alone. He said I come home late because I work
hard and I work hard so that I can give you the best to grow and live and
love. It wasn't easy for him at all, He worked twenty four hours a day in his
small set up of his own. Papa would come home late, Mumma would fix us
dinner, then they would listen to our stories, and put us all to bed. We
never thought much of it at the time, but it's obvious now that we were his
life. I remember asking him about it, why he made so many sacrifices for us,
and his answer was amazing. "Your success will be my greatest achievement."

From that day on my attitude and actions changed. I had the strength and the
courage to deal with problems instead of turning away. I wanted to push
myself to new heights and racing towards this challenge was the answer. He
came to every competition and was always the first person at the finish line
and the last person to leave. I can still hear those words that changed my
life. His goal was to give us a leg up and the opportunity to do great
things, my ambition is to take that opportunity and run with it.
Remember, task ahead of you is never as great as the power behind you.
If you find love....
These are fine tips for all my friends who relate themselves
with love in some sense or the other, be it "I love her but...", "I think she loves me...",
"There is nothing like Love...", "There is something more imp. than love..." and even "Love is just timepass".

If you find yourself in love with someone who does not
love you, be gentle with yourself. There is nothing
wrong with you. Love just didn't choose to rest in the
other person's heart.

If you find someone else in love with you and you don't
love her/him, feel honoured that love came and called at
your door, but gently refuse the gift you cannot
return. Do not take advantage, do not cause pain.

How you deal with love is how you deal with you, and
all our hearts feel the same pains and joys, even if
our lives and ways are different.

If you fall in love with another, and she falls in love
with you, and then love chooses to leave, do not try to
reclaim it or to assess blame, Let it go. There is a
reason and there is a meaning. You will know in time.

Remember that you don't choose love. Love chooses you.
All you can really do is accept it for all its mystery
when it comes into your life. Feel the way it fills you
to overflowing, then reach out and give it away.

Give it back to the person who brought it alive in you.
Give it to others who deem it poor in spirit.
Give it to the world around you in anyway you can.

This is where many lovers go wrong. Having been so long
without love, they understand love only as a need.
They see their hearts as empty places that will be
filled by love, and they begin to look at love as
something that flows to them rather than from them.

The first blush of new love is filled to overflowing,
but as their love cools, they revert to seeing their
love as need. They cease to be someone who generates
love and instead become someone who seeks love.
They forget that the secret of love is that it is a
gift, and that it can be made to grow only by giving it
away.

Remember this, and keep it to your heart. Love has its
own time, its own seasons, and its own reason for
coming and going. You cannot bribe it, or
reason it into saying. You can only embrace it when it
arrives and give it away when it comes to you.

But if it chooses to leave from your heart or from the
heart of your lover, there is nothing you can do and
there is nothing you should do. Love always has been
and always will be a mystery.

Be glad that it came to live for a moment in your life.
Don't deny love just only you don't want to be hurt...

IF YOU KEEP YOUR HEART OPEN, IT WILL COME AGAIN
